Pre-Nutshell Mike was MD at Silver River (A division of SONY), where he oversaw the delivery of Big Allotment Challenge (BBC2), The Ascent of Women (BBC2) and Girls Can Code (BBC3).
Prior to Silver River, Mike was MD at Dangerous Films, a TV production company producing blue-chip factual programming for the world TV Market.
Programmes ranged from the marking of significant anniversaries such as 9/11, D-Day and the Death of Princess Diana to animation projects on Dinosaurs. Mike also navigated the making of two theatrical release films on the Moon Landing and Leonardo Da Vinci.
Mike led the sale of Dangerous Films to Zodiak Media Group in 2011.
Before Dangerous Mike worked for the BBC and BBC Worldwide for 12 years in various co-production and sales roles.
HARRY HARROLD - CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Harry is a Bafta-nominated producer who has worked as head of development and development executive for some of the UK’s leading independent production companies including Shine, TwoFour, Lime Pictures, RDF, Boundless & Twenty Twenty.
He’s had a hand in developing key shows across a range of genres for all of the UK’s terrestrial and a number of its digital channels. Credits include: Masterchef, The Apprentice, Girls Can Code & Educating Joey Essex.
As a producer, Harry has played a senior role on projects as diverse as: TOWIE, Faking It, 24 Hours With and the pioneering cross-platform drama, Who Killed Summer?
In addition to his television career, Harry’s slotted in a four-year stint as BA’s restaurant critic, an MA in Screenwriting and singing lead for Island Records art-rockers, Elcka.
MARK SOUSTER - EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
Mark has enjoyed a long career in print journalism, earning a ‘Sports Journalist of the Year’, award in 2011.
He’s also worked for a number of the UK’s major broadcasters as a presenter, reporter and producer. He ran his own indie for 12 years, landing commissions including: Victoria Cross Heroes with Prince Charles, Animal Addicts, Bomb Hunters, England – World Champions, The Royal Mint and Engineering Giants.
Mark’s speciality is negotiating sensitive access and securing on-screen talent. Hugely well-connected with a passion for revelatory factual programming and observational documentaries.
Mark works closely on development for Nutshell.
JONATHAN WELCH - RESEARCHER
Jonny has worked on a series of adverts for the ‘Stand Up to Cancer’ campaign featuring the cast of ‘This is England’, as a runner on the ‘Solo- A Star Wars Story’ feature film and as a story-liner for various on-line content.
He also plays a mean bass guitar.
Nutshell secured Jonny’s talents back in 2018 and he now plays an invaluable role contributing to both our development and production output.
Jonny studied philosophy at Newcastle University.
Graeme is Chairman of Nutshell Tv Limited.
Following a 30-year career, mainly in private equity as a partner with Charterhouse Capital Partners LLP, he now invests in unlisted, growing, early stage UK companies.
His main focus is on consumer facing industries including retail, leisure and media with past investments in Card Factory, The Tussauds Group, Coral and Avent - all as private companies.
Graeme qualified as a Chartered Accountant whilst working for Price Waterhouse in London and has an MBA from City, University of London.
Gillian is a Senior Advisor at Credit Suisse within U.K. Investment Banking, advising clients primarily in the Media and Consumer sectors.
She is also senior independent non-executive director of Capita plc, a Trustee of the BBC Children in Need and a member of the Corporate Advisory Committee of the Royal Academy.
She is a Mentor for the mentoring organisation – Mentore, and a member of the Fundraising Committee for Breast Cancer Now.
Gillian graduated from Bristol University with a degree in Mathematics.
